Parsippany, NJ, February 8, 2008 - Werum Software & Systems, the world's only major independent company designing and providing comprehensive Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for the pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical industries, has announced results for Werum America for the fiscal year 2007.
According to Hartmut Krome, President of Werum America, total revenues for 2007 increased more than 40% over revenues for 2006. This increase can be attributed to both growing product and service revenues. In 2007 Werum received the Frost & Sullivan North American Company of the Year Award in the MES category for the pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical industries.
"In 2007 Werum deployed numerous PAS-X systems and signed global contracts with three of the top 20 pharmaceutical companies in the world. We look forward to providing MES systems to these companies' facilities in North America," says Mr. Krome. "Werum is now ranked as the number one MES provider in the world wide pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical segments."
2008 Outlook
Regarding Werum's activities for 2008, Mr. Krome states: "We will further strengthen our services for the North American market, especially in consulting for MES projects and comprehensive project related services."
In order to expand its business activities, Werum America plans to soon establish new offices in North Carolina and California and to continue expanding the organization by recruiting highly qualified personnel.
Upcoming highlights in 2008 for Werum America include the SAP SAPPHIRE Conference 2008 (May 4-7 in Orlando, FL) and the Annual PAS-X User Group Meeting, to be held in Morristown, NJ, on May 15 &16.
