New subsidiaries in Japan and Singapore
Tokyo/Singapore, March 18, 2009 - Werum Software & Systems, the globally leading provider of Manufacturing Execution Systems for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, is further strengthening its business footprint in the Asia-Pacific region. As Werum announced, the company has founded Werum Software & Systems K.K. in Japan and Werum Software & Systems Pte Ltd. in Singapore.
Werum wants to meet the growing needs of its pharma and biotech customers in the Asia-Pacific region. With Japan as the second largest pharmaceutical market in the world, and emerging markets such as India and China, Werum expects the Asia-Pacific countries to be of growing relevance for its MES business.
"Many of our large multinational customers with operations in Asia-Pacific as well as local manufacturers will improve their manufacturing quality and drug safety in order to meet international standards", says Mr. Hartmut Krome, Chairman of the Werum Executive Board. "Our MES product PAS-X will be the key for such improvements. We expect future growth in the Asia-Pacific region to contribute a rapidly increasing share, with Japan and Singapore as the focal points of the business."
Werum's new subsidiaries in Japan and Singapore will reinforce the local support capacities that the company already provides in cooperation with its established solution partners in Japan, Singapore, Thailand, China, and Australia.
