MES Consultants Werum PAS-X |
Summary
Werum Software & Systems, an independent global leader and provider of comprehensive Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to pharmaceutical manufacturers, is seeking experienced hands-on Consultants to join its U.S. team, in Cary , NC and in Pasadena, CA.
Duties
- Understand functionality provided by existing software for the purpose of supporting it (user and development
perspectives);
- Support functional specification activities (on-site);
- Recommend best practices to support achievement of client corporate objectives;
- Write test specifications and test the application software (integration testing, acceptance testing);
- Install client/server MES software at client location;
- Support client during go-live activities (configure solution for deployment, provide on-site support
on technical and functional level) ;
- Investigate and resolve client issues (replicate/diagnose/document problems,
schedule resources, fix problems in conjunction with other team members, deploy fixes);
- Train client associates in the use and configuration of PAS-X;
- Travel to client locations to support application deployment as needed (approx. 50%);
- Comply with corporate and client change management, quality management and standard operating procedures.
Skills
- Strong analytical skills;
- Superior listening skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to quickly learn MES software functionality for configuration purposes;
- Ability to solve problems with MES production management software;
- Strong desire to be the *go-to* hands-on person with ability to figure things out on your own
- Thorough understanding of software project life cycle;
- Strong programming knowledge of relational databases, SQL and reporting tools.
Experience
- At least 3 years of software support experience with large scale applications;
- At least 2 years dealing with clients in a training / consulting role;
- 2 years experience with relational databases application development (E/R diagrams) and SQL
database programming;
- Experience with report writing (Crystal Report) tools;
- Experience with software development in FDA regulated environment and knowledge of
pharmaceutical production management systems (ERP/MES) a plus;
- Experience with other MES packages (Honeywell/POMS, Rockwell/Propack, Siements/Elan)
or ERP packages (SAP, QAD) is preferred;
- Familiarity with GMP / Pharma environment and Pharmaceutical process knowledge is a plus;
- A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is required; a Master of Science is preferred.
